The Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition (SAFMC) is Singapore’s largest flying machine competition, jointly organised by DSO National Laboratories and Science Centre Singapore, and supported by the Ministry of Defence. Now in its fourteenth edition, SAFMC 2023 saw its highest participation rate to date at 1981 participants, with over 600 teams competing across 5 different categories.

Held on Saturday 1 April 2023, the media were invited to the award ceremony cover the prize presentation, as well as witness the live demonstrations by the winning teams.

Splash Productions curated the media kit materials with the winners’ information which was held during Challenge Week, the week before the ceremony. The agency was in constant contact with the DSO team, planning for required resources such as photos and video footage of the winning teams. This annual event was covered on terrestrial television, and was featured prominently on school publications, a focus of this year’s SAFMC coverage.
